First Year Photos

Go here to see some photos of us that were taken by a good friend and great photographer, Marcia. I cant wait to see the rest of them! My favorite is the one with Pinkie, one of her favorite stuff animals that she sleeps with. You can tell on Pinkie's nose where she gives her kisses, which are more like bites:) More to come...

The Park

So Mags and I had our first mother daughter picnic last Saturday. We were celebrating the wonderful weather and trying to figure out what to do since football season has started. And i think picnics will do perfectly. I "packed" her lunch which consisted of turkey, a slice of cheese and a piece of bread. It was almost like a sandwich. Then I picked up pork, cabbage and white bean soup from Marche. With Perrier and Hot green tea it couldnt have been a better day. We plopped right now in the middle of the geese. Maggie loved to watch them and they got super close as I think they were expecting some bread too. Despite having to call the police because of a domestic dispute, and despite the Daytona Beach-esque car bass and the amazingly loud ice cream truck, the day was beautiful. You just cant beat East Nashville.

Maggie's Party

Maggie's party was so very fun. Her sweet tiny friends came over and they played and giggled and sometimes just stared at each other. Here is a little glimpse:

In Celebration

The many faces of Margaret...

Happy Birthday Maggie!!!!

My sweet little baby turns one today!!! She already had so many people call her and wish her a happy birthday. She is so loved! We were talking about how GOOD this year has been and how full of blessings, we are so thankful. Tomorrow just a tiny few of her little friends are coming to play and eat cake together. God is so good!

Helping the turtles

I forgot to mention one of the great things that we did. After Maggie went down for the night, Mojo and I took a taxi to the other side of the bay about 30 mins away. We met up with a government conservation group and at sunset help the Giant Turtle babies get to the water. About 500 to 2,000 are born each night and they sometimes have trouble finding their way back home to the water. So they recruit volunteers to release them into the ocean. Talk about cool!

Hola!

We had such a wonderful time in Puerto Vallarta. The villa and the staff made our week truly restful. Maggie love being with Mimi and Papa Joe and having them there allowed us to go out once or twice a day alone. Mojo and I hadnt been on a vacation this relaxed ever! I think with kids, vacations wont be galivanting across Europe for a while. Which is good and what we needed!
We spent many hours on our veranda of our room.

Here are some other pictures of the villa, the first ones are of the sun terrace...where i would spend my time when maggie was napping in the morning. the sun wasnt too hot up there and it was the perfect time to read.

And the family beach photos and some of Mimi and Papa Joe:
