Thanksgiving!

We had such a great thanksgiving this year. The Morginskys have so much to be thankful for....a great home, an amazing family whom we love, great friends, and a wonderful daughter! We had Thanksgiving dinner with our cousins and my parents and it was a blast. I even made a blackberry pie and cut out a turkey in the pie crust....i was a regular Martha Stewart! Here are some photos from the day.

I'll be the first to write a winter blog....

It seems there is always a day when you wake up and know that winter has come. today was that day for me. i know its winter when i have to make sure to wear a bathrobe around my house. not for the obvious reasons of staying warm but more so no one in my back alley can see me walking around the house in my skivvies. most of the year the side of the yard without the privacy fence is covered up with trees. and we just dont want to get shades for our french doors out the back. so winter has come and so has my bathrobe.
its been an especially wintery weekend. its dreary and LOOKS cold outside. i've been huddled up inside all weekend as we all seeem to be coming down with colds. i made kate's recipe of homemade chicken noodle soup last night. it was a hit. and now i'm finishing up the autobiography of Malcolm X and drinking pomegrante cider from sam n' zoes.
this is only the second christmas as mrs.morginsky. and obviously the first with a newborn. holidays are so much more fun with a family. i am waiting with anticipation to decorate this friday. i just bought lighted snowflakes to hang in our long hallway so when folks walk in it will be like a winter wonderland. pictures coming forth.
oh, and i changed the setting so outside folks can post comments now. i'm a true blogger!

Maggie's Zayde

so Zayde (pronounced zayda) is Yiddish for grandpa. Mojo's dad came to visit us last week and spoil Maggie with Zayde love! He spoiled Harriett too!

My first playmate

Maggie says, "So this is my buddy Evan. He is my first playmate. We enjoy all the same things like taking walks with our moms, sitting in our slings and milk! i just got my first shots in this picture so i wasnt too happy but Evan sure is cute isnt he?"

just because these are so cute....

mojo took this on his cell phone so its blurry but still pretty darn cute. she fell asleep and her hat fell over her eyes. so cute.
the other picture is when Sweet Harriett fell asleep on Maggie's knee today. this was the first time they really 'saw' each other. Maggie started staring at Harriett and then smiled and laughed, Harriett i think then felt the permission to get cozy. just as i was taking the picture, Maggie put her hand on Harriett like she was petting her. They're Friends for Life!
