Hola!

We had such a wonderful time in Puerto Vallarta. The villa and the staff made our week truly restful. Maggie love being with Mimi and Papa Joe and having them there allowed us to go out once or twice a day alone. Mojo and I hadnt been on a vacation this relaxed ever! I think with kids, vacations wont be galivanting across Europe for a while. Which is good and what we needed!
We spent many hours on our veranda of our room.

Thankful

We have an acquaintance with a daughter two months younger than Maggie who has been battling cancer for half of her sweet life. Her name is Amelia. You can pray for her. Her parents are Steve and Jen.
After reading their blog about surgeries and set backs, it made me want to remind myself (and the World Wide Web) the small daily things I am thankful for. To often I forget that in fact, Maggie is God's child. I want to say Mine, when it comes to her. But each day I need to be thankful for her sharing our lives.
I am also thankful for her eagerness to learn and explore. Although its still fun to chase her around and laugh when she pulls out everything of the diaper bag, I know one day I'll be tired of putting everything back. I want to stay thankful for her sweet eagerness in life and her ability to amaze us each day with the new things she does and learns.
I am thankful for our air conditioning and a car that works. And our beautiful house that has enough room for many many more children...but I already feel like we are bulging at the seams. Right now in Bihar India, most families are living a top railroad tracks because of the flooding from monsoons. some may have plastic and bamboo to call their home.
I am thankful for organic creams and lotions and foods....so I am a little less worried about the toxins in our baby's body. And for organic cleaners and detergents so this germaphobe and worry wort (a lethal combination) can sleep a little better at night. I'm thankful for our dog Harriett. I've been so annoyed with her lately because of the constant vaccuming I have to do. But already she's become a great companion to Maggie and Maggie truly adores her.
I'm thankful for a husband who serves and cleans and changes diapers (and i suspect a little more than most men). It's easy to serve a chubby baby, its not so easy to serve a wife who is pretty grumpy until her two cups of coffee are had....and even then, she may not be that sweet. But he does it with a glad heart.
It's easy to take things for granted when your life is filled with happiness. A person with a thankful heart is the most beautiful person around. I hope to remember that a little more often even when each night, things cant seem to be better. God is good.

11 months old!

I turned 11 months old the other day! I'm getting so big and my hair is growing so long, I look almost like a toddler. I make my parents laugh ALOT these days. We have so much fun playing games, like "Where's Maggie!"...I'm pretty much the happiest baby around...

All is quiet

All doesnt seem to be quiet enough for me to finish a post. So heres an unfinished post i started weeks ago...:)

Maggie is eating lentils and drinking apple juice so I have a minute to quiet. Lentils are so tiny that she loves to pick them up and eat them and I love it because it keeps her entertained. The Morginsky front has been fairly calm these past weeks as I've huddled up to finish papers and tie loose ends for school. 8 days and counting.
Mojo is busying getting the boys ready for school...no easy feat. Maggie's favorites these days are: Eddie Teddy, pulling everything out of my purse, and "singing" along as Mojo and I sing her the catechism songs.

4th of July Cousin Fun

The Last Few Weeks

Maggie is down for her morning nap and I am drinking my first cup of coffee. This morning I didnt wake up until 8:45!!! Our dog was making noise and so I was surprised Maggie wasnt up yet. I put my head in the hallway to listen and heard her crying. For you moms, you'll know the feeling-i was like, crap! how long had she been crying???
Anyway, the Morginskys have had a fun filled month. It started with Mojo speaking at a camp in Ohio. He had a blast even though it was like 110 degrees. Towards the end of the week of him being gone, my sister and her family came into town. They stayed with me for a few days. Then it was my brother wedding, which was a few days of family and fun. Then my sister, her husband dave and their kiddos-Ellie and Atticus went to Santa Rosa Beach, Fl for the week. My parents came half way through the week. I read a great book by whoa, i blanked on the author. Anyway, great book:) And I got through a good bit of the last book of the Space Triology. It was a such a relaxing and fun week. We ate so good! DAve cooked us steak, shrimp, scallops, pasta, wine, great bread, etc...We spent a ton on groceries but we had a great time eating! The pool was just a few steps from our back door so I was able to go lay out while maggie was napping- another huge plus!!! There was a veranda on the second floor so Matt was able to read and smoke his pipe to his hearts content. And it was a great time with the niece and nephew and Maggie playing with them. She thinks they are awesome! The Mojos left Florida early to head to Atlanta for a college wedding. It was a good time with new husbands, new babies and the first time we've all stayed in a hotel together. We got a couple suites and stayed up talking and laughing. now we're just trying to get back into a routine. Matt is teaching at Barefoot Republic camp for the next two weeks, I'm working alot and Maggie is perhaps teething? Although i've been saying that for months...still no teeth. But she is crawling and thats a bunch of fun! Here are some pics of from the wedding:

More pictures of Perfect

A mom perspective

The other day was close to perfect. Miss Mags and I sat on the porch for about an hour while the sun set. She played with toys while I read CS Lewis. We laughed and giggled and watched our dog bark at passerbys. It didnt reach perfect cause daddy/hubby wasnt there. I decided after a while to take some photos because the colors seemed so brillant. I love these sets of photos because everything seems so rich. I love all the color in Maggies life. I tend to be in a black and white world, with what I wear and how I think. It's nice to be in her world. I took these pictures with the camera at my eye. I just put the camera by my face and starting shooting...to give you a glimpse of how I see her. She crawled and grabbed and dumped her toys on the ground. The wind blew a cool breeze and our little baby pigeon who is still growing wings (Allen, we named him) got to spend time with us too.

Baby Einstein

So I tried out our baby einstein Mozart video the other day. It was so much fun! She became wide eyed and I dont think she blinked. it was fun to see her enjoy it so much! It plays in Spanish too! and En Francais!
